Read this and though it was worth repeating

Because as I see it, we all have a choice: You can wake up pissed off or you can focus on everything you’re grateful for. You have to open your mind and your heart and accept everything that is happening to you, good and bad. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I’m living a no-bullshit kind of life. Just waking up every day is an orgasm — an emotional orgasm. I know there are more ahead of me. I live for that.

I've read this several times and don't disagree that we have a choice on how we wake up and face the day...but I don't see this statement "worth repeating" being something you've completely bought into. Maybe it's just me, but if you are truly the happiest you've ever been, then the people around you should feel this happieness as well. I believe in order to be happy you need to be able to forgive past hurts and look only to the future. The inability to forgive and forget clouds the ability to be happy with what you have today.

I wake up every morning happy. It is the events of the day that try to bring you down. And I am not infallible and sometimes those events do. It is like being addicted to coffee, alcohol or the internet that causes others to down my day. if everyone went along carefree, did as they should and cared about more than just themselves, then the world would be a happier place overall.
